Because I've been exactly where you are right now.
I'm Shinah! I spent ten years in corporate law - and I was miserable the whole time.
Back in 2015, I knew I wanted some kind of creative business, but I had NO IDEA how to start one.
I had ZERO business experience and ZERO start-up money (in fact, I had over $100K in law school debt that I still had to pay off...)
Then, I discovered calligraphy, figured out a way to get really good at it, and started my calligraphy business just TWO MONTHS LATER.

What if I have AWFUL handwriting?
You can still totally do calligraphy!
Calligraphy looks like handwriting, but the key difference is that it's built from a few easy foundational shapes.
That means, if you can learn to draw 6 simple shapes, you can do calligraphy.
(trust me - this is the most common worry that we hear from new students, and they all end up getting over it!)
What tools will I need?
1 - Nib Holder
2 - Pointed, Flexible Nib
3 - Ink
4 - Heavyweight Printer Paper
(A home printer is super useful, so you can print out the worksheets, but it's not absolutely necessary.)
Once you sign up for the Challenge, you'll get access to a clickable PDF that tells you exactly what to buy and where to get it. In the U.S., you can get all the tools for less than $25.
How will the Challenge work?
Each day takes 40 minutes or less!
- 5-10 minutes: Watch the quick video tutorial released each morning of the Challenge.
- 10 minutes: Complete the simple daily assignment.
- 20 minutes: Tune in for the daily live session with me to learn even more calligraphy tips & business wisdom!

Can I do this if I'm left-handed?
Absolutely!
It really pisses me off when left-handed people get told they can't do calligraphy.
Not gonna lie, it does take a little extra time to figure out your ideal grip and paper position, but I've taught hundreds of lefties how to master the art of calligraphy!
